Blake Stevenson

Designer

Blake’s approach to architecture stems from an early interest in the materiality of buildings and construction, and a passion for creating environments or experiences that promote wellness and comfort. Having grown up in Colorado working for a family pottery and tile studio, Blake was immersed in a world of design from an early age.

Following a course of study in fine arts and travels throughout Southern Asia and South America, Blake turned his attention to architecture, earning a Bachelor in Architecture at California College of the Arts. He received the Piero Patri Fellowship in Urban Design, for which he researched the growing trend of development displacing residents in San Francisco’s Southeast Waterfront.

Prior to CCY, Blake worked as a designer for Airbnb, where he contributed to a range of project types, including workspaces, campus design, events, installations, and residential and hospitality concepts.

Blake stays active, healthy, and inspired by playing music, making art, climbing, fishing, snowboarding, and surfing. He also enjoys spending time ranching in remote landscapes. With a passion for the outdoors, he enjoys any sport that requires reading the landscape, checking the forecast, and observing local conditions in order to fully immerse himself in his pursuits.
