National Recognition
In 2020, two CCY projects—Victorian Music Box and Meadow House—received national design awards from multiple sources: Residential Design Architecture Awards, The Architect’s Newspaper — AN Best of Design Awards, and The American Architecture Awards.
MEADOW HOUSE
THE AMERICAN ARCHITECTURE AWARDS
Meadow House received prestigious recognition from The American Architecture Awards. Organized by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, together with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies and the Metropolitan Arts Press, The American Architecture Awards recognizes the best architecture in the United States, identifying projects that underscore “the directions and understanding of current cutting-edge processes consistent with today’s design thinking.”
VICTORIAN MUSIC BOX
ARCHITECT'S NEWSPAPER BEST OF DESIGN
RD ARCHITECTURE AWARDS
Victorian Music Box took top prize in the Facades category in The Architect’s Newspaper — AN Best of Design Awards. From a field of over 800 submissions from architects around the world, VMB won for best façade, with the jury citing the design’s inventive approach to enclosure.
Residential Design, a leading trade publication, recognized Victorian Music Box with a citation award in its 2020 Residential Design Architecture Awards (RDAA). In its write-up, RDAA references the design’s resolution of challenging site conditions.
