Ian Billingsley
Designer
Ian brings a passion for client-focused, site-specific architecture and the built environment. He especially enjoys closely looking at human scale and how people – infants to adults – interact and move through spaces. Ian is inspired by the environment around him and slowing down, in order to notice the little details, the small pieces that make up the world.
He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from California College of the Arts. Before coming to Colorado and CCY Ian’s design practice was focused on residential projects in and around the San Francisco, Bay Area; Wine Country, and Joshua Tree. Having built a home, Ian also brings construction skills and knowledge to each of his projects.
Outside the office, Ian enjoys staying healthy and being active by hiking and taking long bike rides on his vintage road bikes. He also enjoys working with his hands, building tables and chairs, and utilizing a CNC machine to make small, useful objects, often utilizing reclaimed materials.
