After earning a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, Matt felt inspired by Colorado's mountainous terrain and moved out west to explore the intersection between architecture and the environment.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver, where he is particularly focused on sustainable design and being a part of the Design Build program. The program serves the broader community with non-profit organizations on many innovative projects that promote hand-on skills, design, and cutting-edge construction practices for communities in need. This year, he has been working towards obtaining LEED certification.

Matt brings his inquisitive nature and passion for sustainable design to the CCY team. He has prior design experience with a focus on healthcare and he has also spent time in various carpentry and landscaping roles.

In his free time, Matt enjoys taking advantage of the unparalleled outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer - snowboarding, biking, and hiking.
